SPECIFIC LEARNING DISABILITIES
DEPS provides comprehensive evaluations of an individual’s learning style, strengths and areas of need. A specific learning disability is present when there is a significant discrepancy between an individual’s cognitive development and academic development. In addition, the evaluation investigates if there are any social or emotional issues negatively impacting learning. Evaluations are accepted by most school districts for special education eligibility consideration or a 504 plan.
